Venue: Stamford Bridge
Live: Chelsea TV

Tomorrow evening our under 23’s side face Chelsea under 23’s in a premier league 2 encounter at Stamford Bridge against the blues. Ugo Ehiogu’s side have started the season well with two wins from three games in the newly set up PL2. However, the young Lillywhites will face one of their toughest games of the campaign tomorrow as they face one of the most talented academy sides in Europe, in Chelsea. Tomorrows game regardless of the result will provide Ehiogu’s side with valuable experience which will undoubtedly help them in their future development in the game. Our highly talented squad have the quality and ability to defeat the hosts tomorrow night in front of a fairly big crowd and it will be exciting to see how the young Lillywhites fair at the Bridge.

My predicted lineup: Glover, Walker-Peters, Walkes, Maghoma, Ogilvie, Amos, Pritchard, Edwards, Goddard, Georgiou, Harrison.

One to watch: Chelsea and England under 18 midfielder Mason Mount.

Tomorrow afternoon we face Liverpool at the lane in our third league game of the season, as we face a Liverpool side who we have had a poor record against over the past few seasons, having failed to beat the reds in our last seven meetings. However, Pochettino’s side will fancy their chances against Jurgen Klopp’s somewhat unpredictable side who were beaten by Burnley last Saturday at turf moor. The reds attack will cause our defence problems throughout tomorrow’s game with new signing Sadio Mane, Daniel Sturridge and forward Roberto Firmino all expected to play and pose a real threat up front. However, Liverpool’s influential forward Phillipe Coutinho is a doubt as to is Emre Can and Divock Origi. Tomorrows game is certainly hard to call, but we will have to start well as a team and get an early goal if we are to cement our authority on the game and cause Klopp’s side problems throughout. Mousa Dembele and Hugo Lloris are our only two absentees ahead of tomorrow’s big game at the lane, and I am confident that we can put our recent bad form against the Reds to rest with a win tomorrow. COYS⚽️

My predicted team news: (4-2-3-1) Vorm, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Wanyama, Lamela, Alli, Eriksen, Kane.

My predicted score: 3-1 to Spurs courtesy of goals from Harry Kane x2 and Vincent Janssen.

One to watch: The pacy Sadio Mane who will pose a threat to our defence tomorrow.

Venue: Ullevaal Stadion

Date: Friday 5th August, kick off 4pm

Live coverage: ITV4

Head2Heads: Inter 4-1, Spurs 3-0, Spurs 3-1, Inter 4-3.

Tommorow afternoon we face Inter Milan in Oslo, Norway in what will be our last game of pre season before the start of our league campaign to Everton on the 13th of August. We are no strangers to the Italian giants having played some classic ties against them over the years including some thrillers in the champions league and with our remaining first team squad members returning, Pochettino will be hoping his side can star in their last outing before the beginning of the season . Victor Wanyama and Jan Vertonghen didn’t travel to Norway, Wanyama’s visa wasn’t accepted in time whilst Jan Vertonghen is still recovering from an injury he picked up at Euro 2016. Son-Heung Min is on international duty with the South Korean Olympic side ahead of the games in Rio, South Korea face Fiji tomorrow morning. Speculation will be mounting following the absence of  Nacer Chadli, Clinton N’Jie, DeAndre Yedlin, Nabil Bentaleb, who have all been linked with a move away from Spurs. Many of the youngsters that played in Australia have also travelled  having impressed Pochettino down under, tomorrow however is about performing well as a team against a top class opposition as our talented squad looks to impress ahead of next weeks game at Goodison park. I have a feeling tomorrow’s game will provide much excitement and quite a few goals. COYS⚽️

The squad:

My prediction: 3-1 Spurs with goals from Dele Alli, Vincent Janssen and Shayon Harrison.

This Tuesday Mauricio Pochettino’s side will play their first official pre season match of the season as they face Italian champions Juventus in the first of two games in the international champions cup in Melbourne, with the other match being against Spanish side Atletico Madrid. Tuesday’s match will provide the youngsters that Pochettino has selected with vital experience against top class opposition, whilst senior squad members will use it as a great test to help get them ready for the start of the season which is just 19 days away. However, the Juventus side in which the Lillywhites will face on Tuesday is not their full strength side with notable players like Paul Pogba and Giorgio Chiellini still off after competing at the Euros over the summer, it will however be a stern test and a great experience for Spurs. Christian Eriksen is a doubt through illness and the Danish international missed today’s training session. I will be eager to see the exceptionally talented youngster Marcus Edwards likely to make first team debut on Tuesday and I believe the forward could make a real impact against the Italians. Another youngster is Shayon Harrison who will be hoping to play up front against Juventus. The striker was a star for the under 21’s last season and is another player I’m excited to see tomorrow. New signings Vincent Janssen and Victor Wanyama will likely play tomorrow with both being eager to impress at their new club. What ever the result tomorrow it doesn’t matter as it will just be a joy to see Spurs in action again. COYS⚽️

One to watch: Juventus extremely talented and skilful Argentine striker, Paulo Dybala who was a prolific scorer in Serie A last season.

Come mid afternoon tomorrow we’ll hopefully have defeated Southampton and in doing so have secured a remarkable second place finish. However, Mauricio Pochettino’s men will have their work cut out if they are to defeat a tough Southampton side who are vying for a Europa league place, but with our lads fresh and hungry from their intense match with Chelsea last Monday, we as fans can only be confident as our second place club have not lost to the saints in over a decade. As it is potentially the last full attendance match at White Hart Lane the club are urging all to help create a great atmosphere to show appreciation to our players for their exceptional season. Furthermore, the club are also urging fans to wear white and bring Spurs flags. COYS⚽️

Team news: Mousa Dembélé will miss tomorrow’s match after being handed a six game ban for an incident involving Diego Costa at Stamford bridge last Monday. Dele Alli will also miss out as he is also serving a ban whilst Nabil Bentaleb is out injured. Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld have been passed fit after both were brought off injured last Monday.

My predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Mason, Lamela, Eriksen, Son, Kane.

My predicted score line: 3-0 to Spurs courtesy of goals from Kane x2 and Eriksen.

One to watch: Southampton’s Senegalese forward Sadio Mané who has scored 10 league goals and got 7 assists in the current campaign.

Spurs will be looking for another win against West Brom this Monday night as they entertain the West Midlands side at White Hart Lane, Mauricio Pochettino’s side cannot afford anything other than the three points. As the Argentine’s side look to narrow the distance between themselves and Leicester city with only four league games remaining for both sides. Tony Pulis’s side are without a league win in five games, and despite being comfortably placed with 40 points in 15th position, the baggies will undoubtedly be looking to cause an upset as they look to end the season on their highest overall points tally in premier league history. Spurs know all to well how tough Monday night will be after they only managed a draw against West Brom in the reverse fixture this season, as Pulis’s men battled to the last and showed great resilience and tenacity to get the point against the high flying Lillywhites. However last Monday’s demolition of Stoke showcased how great we are as a side and with eleven men at the top of their game and a top class manager in the dugout, Monday night should be another win recorded for Pochettino’s stars.

Team news: The same eleven that started last weeks thrashing against Stoke, are likely to start again on Monday evening and Pochettino will have an almost full squad to choose from with the exception of the injured Nabil Bentaleb.

My predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Dembele, Lamela, Alli, Eriksen, Kane.

My predicted scoreline: 5-0 Spurs courtesy of goals from Kane x2, Dembele, Eriksen and Nacer Chadli.

One to watch: West Brom’s target man and top scorer in the premier league this season with seven goals and three assists, José Salomón Rondón.

Preview: Tottenham Hotspur will face Stoke city this Monday as Pochettino’s men will look to avenge last seasons three nil thrashing at the Britannia, as they look look to close the gap between themselves and top placed Leicester city. Mauricio Pochettino spoke yesterday of finishing the season in the strongest way possible and our Argentinian manager still strongly believes that we are still very much in the title race with five games remaining, despite the fact that seven points separates us from the foxes. Nevertheless, all that matters to the gaffer and the squad now is Monday nights match and with an almost fully fit side and a high morale with in the squad, many are expecting us to return to north London with the all important three points. The eight placed potters are currently enduring a mini injury crisis with key players Jack Butland, Jonathan Walters, Glen Johnson and Marc Wilson all sidelined through injury. Whilst their left back Erik Pieters is suspended for Monday nights match.

Last Sunday’s magnificent victory over Manchester United at the lane will leave the players in great stead as they look to overcome Mark Hughes’s side who have only won one of their last five matches in the premier league. Furthermore, the potters have little to play for with the exception of pride and the consolidation of their eighth placed standing, these many factors should give all Spurs fans a massive confidence boost ahead of Monday nights massive match. COYS⚽️

Team news: Pochettino confirmed that Clinton Njié is ready to return ahead of our visit to Stoke and the Cameroonian forward may well feature on the bench against Stoke. However, Nabil Bentaleb is our sole absentee for Monday’s match as the Algerian international is ruled out for the remainder of the season through injury. Kyle Walker and Danny Rose are likely to feature at full back having started our last few league encounters with the two England internationals highly impressing down the flanks. Whilst the eleven that started in our victory over Man United last week are expected to start again for Monday nights encounter.

My predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Dembele, Lamela, Alli, Eriksen, Kane.

My predicted score: 3-0 to Spurs courtesy of goals from Eriksen, Lamela and Kane.

One to watch: Stoke’s top scorer Marko Arnautović, who has ten goals and six assists in the premier league this season.

Preview: Mauricio Pochettino’s men return to action this Saturday against Liverpool in the Barclays premier league, in what is being described as yet another cup final for the Lillywhites. The players will likely face a tough test against a somewhat unpredictable Liverpool side, Jurgen Klopp’s men currently sit ninth in the league table, and Klopp this week discussed prioritising their match with Dortmund this coming Thursday in the Europa league as its their only chance of getting champions league football next season. A weakened Liverpool 11 would undoubtedly be a huge plus for our lads as they beseech those three points, however our form away to Liverpool over recent seasons has been poor, having last won at Anfielfd in 2011. Although this season we are ultimately a much changed side and Pochettino spoke of the players belief of winning ahead of tomorrow’s match, in addition I believe we stand a very good chance of winning tomorrow and I believe the midfield will be imperative to our success. Dembele and Dier in the midfield will hopefully overwhelm Liverpool as the pair have the tenacity to halt their game plan, furthermore Alderweireld and Wimmer will be hoping to stop Roberto Firmino from adding to his goal account. There is no doubting Liverpool’s class, especially when it comes to their attacking line with Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge just a few of the potent attackers that the Merseyside club have on their books.

Team news: After missing Belgium’s friendly in midweek due to illness our key defender Toby Alderweireld is back in training and will start tomorrow’s match. However Erik Lamela didn’t train yesterday due to his involvement with Argentina in midweek, so it’s a possibility that the Argentine may start on the bench due to fatigue, with Son the likely candidate to replace him. Jan Vertonghen is back training with the first team after recovering from his injury but is not ready to be called upon tomorrow, in addition Clinton Njié is also close to recovering from his injury but will also sit out tomorrow’s game. Whilst Nabil Bentaleb and Cameron Carter-Vickers are out injured for the rest of the season. Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies are likely to start at fullback, having not been involved for a couple of weeks.

My predicted line up: (4-2-3-1) Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Son, Alli, Eriksen, Kane.

My predicted score: 2-1 to Spurs courtesy of a brace from Son.

One to watch: Roberto Firmino, Liverpool’s top scorer in the league this season.

Head2Heads: Spurs 5-1, Spurs 4-0, Spurs 3-0
Referee: Neil Swarbrick

Preview: We face Bourenmouth at the lane this Sunday in what is yet another must win fixture as we continue to battle for the league title, in this roller coaster ride of a Premier league season. The south coast club have been full of surprises this season and the cherries currently sit 13 points clear of the relegation zone as they look to continue their fine run of form against Pochettino’s men tomorrow afternoon. Despite losing two-one against Dormtund on Thursday Pochettino will no doubt be confident that our strongest eleven can defeat the cherries at the lane. However, Bourenmouth have many players that can cause the Lillywhites a whole host of problems, including the offensive trio of Max Gradel, Benik Afobe and Josh King, who will undoubtedly be on top of our back fours agenda against the nonchalant and fearless Bournemouth. Eddie Howe’s side play with great flair and they’ll look to implement their attacking philosophy on tomorrow afternoons match.

A strong defensive performance is key as Alderweireld and Wimmer will be essential to keeping Afobe at bay, whilst Kane will be hoping to add to his current seasons tally of 19 league goals in this fixture as we look to sink the high flying cherries. COYS⚽️

Team news: Ben Davies is out for this one after suffering concussion on Thursday night, whilst Vertonghen and Njié are ruled out through injury as is Nabil Bentaleb. However, the influential pairing of Dembele and Eriksen are fit to return for this critical fixture.

My predicted line up: (4-2-3-1) Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Rose, Dier, Dembele, Lamela, Alli, Eriksen, Kane.

My predicted score: 4-2 Spurs with goals from Kane x3 and Alderweireld .

One to watch: Bournemouth’s prolific centre forward, Benik Afobe.

Spurs v Borussia Dortmund: (match preview)

Spurs v Borussia Dortmund: (match preview)

image.jpeg
Venue: White Hart lane
Date: Thursday 17 March 20:05 pm
Head2Heads: Dortmund 3-0 (From first leg)
Live coverage: BT Sport 1

Preview: Despite Pochettino’s men having a three goal deficit to overturn in this second leg tie at the lane, this European fixture still has all the ingredients of a classic European night under the White Hart lane lights. However, the lads will no doubt face a mammoth task as they prepare to face evidently one of the greatest clubs in Europe. Borussia Dortmund showcased their exquisite skill and admirable technical ability in last Thursday’s three nil thrashing in Germany, where a second string Spurs side were soundly defeated by the Bundesliga giants. It is a great puzzle as to how Pochettino will line up the Lillywhites in tomorrow’s encounter as Spurs look to salvage something from this tie and I’m sure Pochettino does too, regardless of his premier league focus. Whatever the squad that Pochettino chooses, the tactical approach should remain the same. The lads must get two early goals and ultimately they must stay strong at the back as they look for the third, an away goal for Dortmund would effectively end the tie.

Of course our chances of progressing are as slim as can be however, I believe that with an electric atmosphere and a spirit full and strong lineup, we can put up a great fight against a Dortmund side that will have a few key players rested. We as fans must remain hopeful, although Bourenmouth on Sunday is our rightful priority! COYS⚽️

Team news: Christian Eriksen and Moussa Dembele will be assessed prior to our meeting with Dortmund at the lane. Clinton Njié and Jan Vertonghen remain sidelined through injury whilst, Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier are expected to return at fullback. Heung-Min Son is poised to replace Erik Lamela on the right wing however, it remains a mystery as to whether Harry Kane will start up front. Dele Alli is available again after suspension.

My predicted team: (4-2-3-1) Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Davies, Mason, Dier, Son, Alli, Eriksen, Kane.

My predicted score : 3-0 Spurs with goals from Alderweireld, Eriksen and Kane.

One to watch: Dortmunds powerful and creative Armenian forward, Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
