Spurs youngster Elliot Thorpe who plays for our under 16’s side, was involved for Wales under 17’s in their match against Hungary earlier today as they drew 2-2 in a friendly in Newport. Former Spurs under 16 starlet Nya Kirby joins Chelsea:
Our talented 16 year old midfielder Nya Kirby who is an England under 16 international has according to the football journalist Greg Stobart, rejected a scholarship with Spurs and had instead joined Chelsea. It is sad news as the youngster was one of our most exciting players with in our academy, it is a blow for Spurs as the youngster had already shown great promise, having had an excellent campaign for the under 16’s last season, Kirby was rewarded with game time for the under 18’s as well as training with the senior side. I wish Nya the very best of luck at his new club and hope he has a fantastic future. On a further note our new first year scholars are expected to be named very soon by the club.
