International youth reports: Saturday and Sunday

Japhet Tanganga, Jaden Brown and Samuel Shashoua: England under 17’s qualified for this summers under 17 European championship as they defeated Finland 1-0 yesterday afternoon in a match that involved two Spurs academy graduates. Japhet Tanganga helped England keep a clean sheet as the commanding centre back completed the whole of yesterday’s match in Chesterfield, in addition our young left back Jaden Brown came on in the 74th minute. Whilst Samuel Shashoua was an unused substitute.

Charlie Owens: Spurs under 18 midfielder Charlie Owens was an unused substitute in Northern Ireland under 19’s 1-0 defeat to the Netherlands, yesterday.

Nya Kirby, Oliver Skipp and Reo Griffiths: England under 16’s were eliminated from the Montaigu tournament yesterday as they lost 2-1 to Brazil. Nya Kirby and Oliver Skipp started the match for the young lions.

Harry Winks: Harry Winks captained England under 20’s today at the Keepmoat
oat stadium in their shock 2-1 defeat to Canada under 20’s. Winks impressed in the
middle of the park as the youngster from Hemel Hempstead completed the full 90 minutes of the match.

Marcus Edwards and Alfie Whiteman: Marcus Edwards played the whole of England under 18’s 4-1 victory over the Republic of Ireland at St Georges park today. The young starlet again heavily impressed on the international stage as he scored yet another brace for England under 18’s as he put in another star performance. Edwards has now scored four goals in two games for the under 18’s this week, Marcus scored another brace earlier in the week against Austria. Young Spurs goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman was an unused substitute in today’s match.
