Spurs under 18’s versus Everton: (match preview)
Our under 18’s are in action on Tuesday morning, John McDermott’s side face Everton at the toffees finch farm training ground in an 11:00am kick off. It’s their penultimate game of the under 18 league season and they’ll be eager to return to winning ways following a narrow 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday. Still in with a shout of winning tier 2 of the under 18 league, I’m predicting McDermott to field a strong side for the trip to Merseyside. They face a talented Everton side who currently occupy bottom spot of tier 2 with 4 points from 6 games. Whilst I haven’t seen anything of this Everton side, I know that the standout players will include midfielder Danny Bramall and forward Shane Lavery. Unfortunately I will be unable to attend tomorrows game however, there should be live score updates provided by the Spurs and Everton Twitter accounts. COYS
Team news: With our under 23’s not involved again until Monday, I have a feeling McDermott will go with a strong side for this important game. I reckon Kazaiah Sterling, Japhet Tanganga, Samuel Shashoua and Keanan Bennetts will all travel to Liverpool. Jonathan Dinzeyi will miss Tuesday mornings game through injury, whilst the Spurs trio of Eyoma, Oakley-Boothe and Griffiths are all away in Croatia with the England under 17’s side. Again I wouldn’t be surprised to see some more under 16’s feature on the bench for Spurs.
My predicted lineup: Austin, Hinds, Marsh, Tanganga, Tsaroulla, Shashoua, Skipp, Duncan Bennetts, Sterling.
My score prediction: 2-1 to Spurs courtesy of goals from Sterling and Shashoua.
One to watch: Everton midfielder Danny Bramall, Bramall has scored eight goals for the toffees so far this season.
