We have drawn Gillingham FC in the third round of the EFL trophy, we will play the Gills at White Hart Lane on the week commencing the 19th September. It will be a special occasion for former Spurs player Justin Edinburgh who will return to White Hart Lane as the Kent clubs manager, Edinburgh will undoubtedly be thrilled with the draw as he still has a strong connection to the club. I am personally very happy with this draw and look forward to us playing the Gills which will be a special occasion under the lights at the lane. We have only played Gillingham on one occasion and that came in the league cup third round at priestfield on the nineth of November 1982, we defeated Gillingham 4-2 on the night, with both Steve Archibald and Garth Crooks scoring a brace.
