Spurs reportedly agree deal to sign winger Georges-Kévin N’Koudou from Marseille:

Spurs reportedly agree deal to sign winger Georges-Kévin N’Koudou from Marseille:

image.jpeg

Facts:
– N’koudou scored 10 goals for Marseille last season.
– Although he was born in Versailles the France under 21 international is also eligible to represent Cameroon.
– The winger previously played for Nantes and French giants PSG.
– N’Koudou is noted for his exceptional pace and acceleration as well as he’s balance on the ball.
– N’Koudou has been scouted by a wide array of European clubs and is highly sought after.

It is believed that Spurs have managed to secure the signing of the highly rated 21 year old winger Georges-Kévin N’Koudou from French club Marseille, for a fee believed to be around £10.8 million pounds. The reports of N’Koudou’s impending signing have come from two very reliable sources France’s L’Équipe and The Guardian newspaper, the French club have given Spurs permission to begin negotiations with N’Koudou over personal terms. The France under 21 intentional who used to play for both Nantes and PSG is expected to travel to London for a medical with in the next 48 hours, with the winger believed to be signing a five year contract with Spurs. I believe this deal will go ahead most probably with in the week and I ultimately believe it will be a very good signing if it is confirmed. N’Koudou is an extremely pacy winger who has great dribbling ability and skill, the Frenchman also is extremely energetic and likes to press opponents which is something Pochettino and Mitchell will have become aware of whilst watching him.

image.jpeg

N’Koudou is just the kind of player that we need ahead of the coming season, we need someone with pace that can surge down the flanks and with N’Koudou we would have that. However, some reports are suggesting that Clinton N’jie could be loaned to Marseille as part of the deal, I don’t believe that this will occur as I believe Pochettino highly values the Cameroonian ahead of next season and the winger can certainly make a big impact once fully fit. The highly rated N’Koudou would be yet another fantastic signing for Spurs and with the signings of Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen already completed Pochettino will be looking to get all of our new signings to gel with plenty of time left ahead of the new season. A couple of videos which show N’Koudou’s skill and talent are included in the links provided below. COYS⚽️

Spurs narrowly lose to Fulham in behind closed doors friendly at Hotspur way:

A Spurs team which consisted of a mixture of first team and academy players lost 1-0 earlier today against Fulham in a behind closed doors friendly at Hotspur way. It was Fulham’s Luca de la Torre who scored the eventual winner early on in the game for the cottagers, it certainly wasn’t a one sided affair as Pochettino’s side created a wide array of chances but were ultimately unlucky. Vincent Janssen made his debut for Spurs in today’s game, the players that i am aware played are as follows : Michel Vorm, Luke McGee, Kieran Trippier, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Anton Walkes, Ryan Mason, Victor Wanyama, Son Heung-Min, Nabil Bentaleb, Harry Winks, Alex Pritchard, Nacer Chadli, Shayon Harrison and Victor Janssen. You can read a full report of today’s match on the Spurs website, the link is provided below. Up next for Pochettino’s men is another behind closed doors friendly at Hotspur way, this time against Yeovil on the 21st of this month. COYS⚽️

Five players that could make their under 21’s debut next season:

Five players that could make their under 21’s debut next season:

image.jpeg
In the following article I have included a list of five Spurs under 18 players that I believe could potentially feature for the under 21 side during next seasons campaign in the Barclays under 21 premier league, I have not included players that have already made their debuts for the under 21 side in the previous campaign. There are also a host of other players from the under 18’s side that may well make their first appearance for the Spurs under 21’s side during next seasons campaign.

Nick Tsaroulla: The talented left back made 15 appearances for the under 18’s side last season and was impressive throughout the campaign for Kieran McKenna’s side. Tsaroulla scored his first goal for the under 18’s in a 2-1 win against Southampton in November of last year, the current under 21 side don’t have many left backs and next season could potentially be the season in which Tsaroulla establishes himself as a regular with in the side. The left back who can also operate as a left winger, is in my opinion nearly ready to make that step up, with all the raw attributes and the talent to succeed Tsaroulla could have a very successful season ahead of him in the 2016/17 campaign.

Jaden Brown: An England under 17 international, Jaden Brown was a key part of the under 18’s side last season making a total of 19 league appearances as well as captaining them on occasions last season. A talented and versatile defender, Brown can operate as both a centre back and a left back and the highly rated defender could feature for Ugo Ehiogu’s side during next season, with Brown potentially filling in at centre half as well as left back. The Lewisham born defender certainly has a bright career ahead of him and next season he may well make an impact for the under 21 side.

Shilow Tracey: Shilow Tracey was signed from Ebbsfleet united in January of 2016 and made ten appearances for our under 18’s scoring one goal. Tracey who is a versatile midfielder, will most probably feature for the under 21’s during next seasons campaign with Tracey now being a member of the Spurs development squad. A powerful midfielder Tracey is a talented player who I believe has the capability to make a positive impact for Ehiogu’s side next season being able to offer both offensive and defensive qualities to his game. The talented midfielder can also play as a left back, I predict a bright season ahead for the talented Shilow Tracey over the course of next seasons campaign.

Jack Roles: A young and talented midfielder, Roles featured on the bench for the under 21’s against Sunderland towards the latter end of last season. Making a total of 16 appearances for the under 18’s last season, Roles scored 3 goals, a Cyprus under 17 international, the second year scholar should make his under 21 debut next season. A tenacious and creative central midfielder Roles has a thunderous right foot and is a constant goal threat. With Lesniak out on loan until January, Roles could provide cover and in doing so help his development at the club.

Samuel Shashoua: An incredibly talented and skilful attacking midfielder Shashoua went on to make 18 appearances for the under 18’s scoring four goals in the last campaign. An England under 17 international, Shashoua is a player I rate very highly, Shashoua possess fantastic skill, ball control and great athleticism and I believe Shahsoua could offer a big offensive threat next season for Ehiogu’s side. You can read my interview with Shashoua in the link provided below, I wish all our under 18 players the very best of luck for next season. COYS⚽️

Spurs loan out youngster Filip Lesniak to Czech side Slovan Liberec:

image.jpeg

Our talented young defensive midfielder Filip Lesniak who is a Slovakia under 21 international, has today joined Czech first league side Slovan Liberec on loan until January subject to international clearance. I believe this is a very good loan move for the Spurs under 21 midfielder and I believe that it will really help Lesniak’s development, the Czech side are competing in this seasons UEFA Europa league. I wish him a very successful loan.

Spurs sign Dutch striker Vincent Janssen:

image
It was officially announced earlier today that we had signed 22 year old prolific Dutch striker Vincent Janssen from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar for a fee believed to be around 17 million pounds. Janssen is our second signing of the summer and is yet another fantastic acquisition for our club, with us only having one recognised striker before Janssen’s signing Levy has managed to sign a top young talent. Vincent Janssen was the joint top scorer in the Eridivisie last season scoring a total of 27 league goals being awarded the Johan Cruyff trophy, and the Dutchman was also believed to be the subject of interest from Wolfsburg and French giants PSG. I’m extremely optimistic that Janssen will adapt extremely well to the Premier league next season, and I believe that he will score many goals over the next couple of seasons. You can read my earlier indepth article on Janssen in the link provided below. COYS⚽️

Some of our youngsters that could make an impact in the first team next season: image.jpeg In

Some of our youngsters that could make an impact in the first team next season:

image

In this article I have included some of our young academy players who I believe could make an impact in the first team in the coming season. Youngsters who have already played for the first team are not included with in this article. Below each player is a video of them in action.

1. Grant Ward: the 21 year old midfielder is a talented player who recently spent a season on loan at championship side Rotherham United making 40 appearances for the millers, Ward was awarded the Rotherham United young player of the year award for the 2015-16 season. A versatile midfielder Ward provides great energy and tenacity with in the midfield and is not afraid to surge forward, Ward also has an excellent shot at his disposal. I predict Ward will get some game time for Pochettino’s side in the coming season, possibly in a domestic cup game and if he impresses with in pre season he could very much become part of Pochettino’s plans, you only need to look as far as Ryan Mason or Harry Kane to see how impressing in a cup game can edge you in to the senior squad. https://youtu.be/UVY339O_ZCY
2. Dominic Ball: Commanding centre half Dominic Ball is another player who I believe could feature in Pochettino’s squad in the coming season. The 20 year old who spent last season on loan at Scottish side Rangers completed 30 games for the Ibrox club as he demonstrated his versatility with on the field of play. Ball played with in central defence as well as in the middle of the park, in many ways Ball reminds me of Eric Dier in regards to his style of play as well as his ability to play in both defence and the midfield. A solid and powerful player Ball is a hot prospect at Spurs and is in my opinion more than capable to play senior football for Spurs in the coming season. However, this opportunity is only likely to come through cup games, whilst Ball could possibly spend another season on loan as it could be more beneficial to his development. https://youtu.be/LBuD3q2y2sA
3. Kyle Walker-Peters: Exciting right back Kyle Walker-Peters was a star for our under 21’s in the previous campaign and was rewarded with a place on the bench against Bournemouth in the Premier league last season. Walker-Peters, who is also capable of featuring at left back is in my opinion one of of our best prospects with in our youth academy, A pacy player the right back demonstrated an excellent defensive ability last season, having saw him play many times I immediately noticed he’s exceptional determination and supreme intelligence in reading the game. Kyle was awarded with the Barclays under 21 premier league player of the month for December of last year, in the same month that he signed a new contract for the club, Kyle is also a regular for England under 19’s and is named in their squad for the coming European championships. Depending on whether Yedlin stays, Walker-Peters could find himself the second choice right back for next season and with he’s pedigree could certainly feature for the senior squad next season even in the premier league.https://youtu.be/-N3mXJKYkPU
4. Connor Ogilvie: Connor Ogilvie is yet another player who could make his senior debut in the coming season, the left back who spent last season on loan at League 2 club Stevenage is a talented and consistent performer who has an excellent reading of the game, as well as an exciting offensive side to his game down the left wing. Ogilvie earned two call ups to the senior side in the 2013-14 season, in which he featured on the bench for two Europa league games against Tromso and Benfica respectively. The talented Ogilvie could potentially feature in the senior side next side next season in a domestic cup game and could fill in for our other left backs if they get injured.https://twitter.com/stevenagefc/status/698876831559258115
5. Nathan Oduwa: The extremely skilful and tricky left winger who is capped at under 23 level for Nigeria is another hot talent within the Spurs academy set up. Oduwa spent some of last season on loan at Rangers where he wowed the crowds with his flair and trickery making 15 appearances and netting once for the Scottish club. Oduwa also spent a short time on loan at Colchester, Oduwa could definitely make an impact next season if Pochettino selects him, with bags full of tricks, pace and an eye for goal the 20 year old may soon make his senior debut for the Lillywhites over the coming season, and I believe that he is ready to be involved in senior game time for Spurs. https://youtu.be/bOI310nwE7o
6. Cameron Carter-Vickers: Cameron Carter Vickers is one of the most talented young central defenders in the country and its not hard to see why with the American under 23 international excelling for both club and country at youth level over the past couple of seasons. The tall and outstandingly strong centre back has shown great maturity and intelligence for the under 21’s last season and the American possesses all the raw attributes to become a top class centre back. Still only 18 Carter-Vickers is a big part of Spurs’s future and Pochettino was not afraid to include him on the bench on four occasions in the Europa league last season. A natural leader Carter Vickers captained the under 21’s regularly during last seasons campaign and the youngsters first team debut is close, with next season likely seeing him in action for the senior squad. https://youtu.be/BEFBw1boQcc
7. Shayon Harrison: A natural and prolific goalscorer at youth level for Spurs the extremely talented striker is one of our most talented young players. I have seen Harrison play on numerous occasions over past the few seasons for both the under 18’s and under 21’s and I have been extremely impressed with the 18 year old striker, and I thoroughly believe that with all his key attributes and skill that he will become a top striker at Spurs in the future. I believe he is more than ready to be given some senior game time for Spurs over the course of next season. However, Harrison could potentially be sent on loan over the coming season, if you’d like to read my earlier in depth article on Harrison the link is provided below. https://twitter.com/spursofficial/status/719613883711770625 https://superhotspur.com/2016/04/18/shayon-harrison-tottenhams-striking-starlet/
8. Marcus Edwards: Finally on this list is young Marcus Edwards, the 17 year old winger is widely regarded as our most promising player with in our academy and after establishing himself in the under 21’s side at the end of last season the wonder kid has reportedly signed a two year deal with Spurs with the promise of a first team number and some senior playing time over the course of next season. If you’d like to read more about the dazzling wonder kid and England under 18 international, read my article on Edwards in the link provided below. https://superhotspur.com/2016/04/24/marcus-edwards-tottenhams-dazzling-wonder-kid/ https://youtu.be/SCZpYy1LZEg

Former Spurs under 16 starlet Nya Kirby joins Chelsea:

Former Spurs under 16 starlet Nya Kirby joins Chelsea:

image

Our talented 16 year old midfielder Nya Kirby who is an England under 16 international has according to the football journalist Greg Stobart, rejected a scholarship with Spurs and had instead joined Chelsea. It is sad news as the youngster was one of our most exciting players with in our academy, it is a blow for Spurs as the youngster had already shown great promise, having had an excellent campaign for the under 16’s last season, Kirby was rewarded with game time for the under 18’s as well as training with the senior side. I wish Nya the very best of luck at his new club and hope he has a fantastic future. On a further note our new first year scholars are expected to be named very soon by the club.

Spurs 3-0 Nottingham Forest:

Spurs 3-0 Nottingham Forest:

image.jpeg

Spurs defeated championship side Nottingham Forest 3-0 earlier today in a behind closed doors friendly at Hotspur way. The squad consisted of a mixture of first team players and youngsters as Mauricio Pochettino gave academy players including Kazaiah Sterling, Luke Amos and Anthony Georgiou some valuable experience against a good senior side. Spurs took the lead in the third minute of the match through South Korean international Son Heung-Min who fired the ball past De Vries in the Forest nets from outside the box. A mere four minutes later, Mauricio Pochettino’s side doubled their lead through Tom Carroll who got on the end of Luke Amos’s cross, Carroll fired home cleverly with a first time shot. Our winger Alex Pritchard confirmed the win after he fired home from within the right side of the box after he latched on to a well improvised flick from Nabil Bentaleb. Our new signing Victor Wanyama made his debut for Spurs in today’s match, whilst the rest of the players that I am aware played earlier today are as follows: Michel Vorm, Heung-Min Son, Alex Pritchard, Tom Carroll, Nacer Chadli, Harry Winks, Kazaiah Sterling, Anthony Georgiou and Luke Amos. Spurs didn’t release an official team sheet.

Up next for Maurico Pochettino’s men is another behind closed doors friendly against
Fulham on July the 16th. COYS⚽️

Spurs release new kits for 2016/17 season:

image

This morning Spurs released their new under armour kits for the coming 2016/17 season, via a live stream from Hotspur way. The selection of kits are certainly unique and fittingly so considering it’s our last season at White Hart Lane, I personally really like the new kits especially the third away kit, which I think has a somewhat retro feeling with the black stripes combined with the bright gold. The kits will be first worn by the players in Melbourne later this month, as we compete in the international champions cup. Spurs described each of the kits on their website: “This year’s home shirt is dominated by the traditional white and navy blue of Tottenham Hotspur. The navy blue contrast is complemented by the gold trim on the v-neck along with the navy blue and gold details on the sleeves.”
“The official away shirt comes in navy blue with gold trim on the crew neck in addition to a golden triple loop motif on the sleeves, while the unique gold third shirt is detailed with navy blue pin stripes and features navy blue trim on the sleeves and v-neck.” “The new goalkeeper home shirt sports a simple and stylish capri blue, while the away jersey is a vibrant burnt orange colour. Both strips include a crew neck design and feature a navy blue diagonal stripe on each sleeve.” Heres to hoping that these kits will be ones worn with glory and with silver wear being lifted by the players.
