Spurs Under 18’s versus Southampton: (match preview)

Spurs’ Under 18 side return to playing Premier League South football, when they host Southampton at Hotspur Way, on Saturday morning (the game starts at 11:30am). Last season Spurs beat Southampton 7-0 at home, and then 3-0 away from home at Southampton’s training ground. Southampton have been in good form so far this season, and they currently occupy second place in the league, having picked up 19 points from nine games. Spurs are seven points and seven places behind Southampton, in ninth place. However, Spurs have played one game less than Southampton, going into Saturday’s match. Spurs have a very good record against Southampton at this level in recent years, but this will be another good challenge for Spurs, to play against a team who have scored a lot of goals already this season, and who are also in good form. Spurs will face (at home) Ipswich Town in the third round of this seasons FA Youth Cup, after Ipswich beat Aldershot 4-1 on Thursday, in a second round tie. This will be another difficult game for Spurs. However, I would like to wish Spurs all the very best of luck for the game against Southampton on Saturday, and my report will be out on Saturday evening.

My predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Hayton, Bryan-Waugh, Dorrington, Chaplin, Andiyapan, Cassanova (c), Kyerematen, McKnight, Donley, Torraj, Williams.

Subs from: Gunter, Abbott, Haysman, Bloxham, Owen.

Injured/unavailable: N/A.

Doubtful: N/A.

Previous meeting: Spurs 3-0.

My score prediction: Spurs 2-1.

My one to watch: Kami Doyle. The Southampton player has scored seven goals and provided two assists from from five Premier League South appearances this season.
