Spurs v Bayer Leverkusen: (match preview)
Date: Tuesday 18th October 19:45pm
Live: BT Sport 2
Referee: Cüneyt Çakır
Head2Heads: 1-0 Spurs.
Tonight Spurs face German side Bayer Leverkusen in the Lillywhites third group of the UEFA champions league campaign. After getting three points from the two games, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will no doubt be looking to secure a tough away victory in Germany. Tonight’s game will arguably be Spurs’s toughest away game of the group, Kevin Schmidt’s though somewhat inconsistent side have a very good home record. Furthermore, Leverkusen have some very good players on their books including former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez as well as the talented Turkish forward Hakan Çalhanoglu. Leverkusen have a very talented pool of players and our lads will have to be at their best tonight if they are to take three points back to north London. COYS
Team news: Toby Alderweireld hasn’t traveled to Germany after the Belgian defender picked up an injury against West Brom on Saturday, it is not known when he will return. Meanwhile, Harry Kane remains sidelined through injury. Eric Dier may replace Alderweireld at centre back
My predicted team lineup: (4-2-3-1) Lloris, Walker, Dier, Vertongen, Rose, Wanyama, Dembele,
My predicted scoreline: 4-2 to Spurs courtesy of goals from Son x2, Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele.
One to watch: Bayer Leverkusen’s talented attacking midfielder Hakan Çalhanoglu who has an excellent shot at his disposal.
