Saturday’s international report:
Erik Lamela: Erik Lamela impressed for Argentina on Saturday after the Argentine came on in the 43rd minute against Panama. Argentina won the Copa América group stage match 5-0 against Panama. Up next for Argentina is their final group game of the tournament against Bolivia on Wednesday.
Ben Davies: Ben Davies was outstanding for Wales earlier today, Davies helped Wales beat Slovakia 2-1 in their opening match of Euro 2016, and it was an historic victory for Wales as it was the first time they had won at a major tournament since the 1958 World Cup. Davies was defensively impeccable at the back three for Wales, and Davies made an absolutely incredible goal line block, which can be viewed in the link below. Davies will no doubt be a key player in this tournament for Wales, and the left back demonstrated his sheer quality earlier today in Wales victory, as he completed the full 90 minutes.
Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker, Dele Alli and Harry Kane: Our England quintet had a fine match for England against Russia this evening, England drew the match 1-1 after falling to a late equaliser. However our defensive midfielder Eric Dier put an exceptional display in the centre of the park and was ultimately awarded the Carlsberg man of the match. Moreover, Dier scored a magnificent curling free kick to put England ahead on 73 minutes in what was the 22 year olds second goal for the three lions. Our other four player all had fine games as Roy Hodgon’s side will feel unlucky having not picked up all three points. All five of our players completed the entirety of the match in Marseille. You can view Dier’s wonderful bending free kick in the link provided below. England face Wales on Thursday in their second game of group B.
