Spurs narrowly lose to Fulham in behind closed doors friendly at Hotspur way:

A Spurs team which consisted of a mixture of first team and academy players lost 1-0 earlier today against Fulham in a behind closed doors friendly at Hotspur way. It was Fulham’s Luca de la Torre who scored the eventual winner early on in the game for the cottagers, it certainly wasn’t a one sided affair as Pochettino’s side created a wide array of chances but were ultimately unlucky. Vincent Janssen made his debut for Spurs in today’s game, the players that i am aware played are as follows : Michel Vorm, Luke McGee, Kieran Trippier, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Anton Walkes, Ryan Mason, Victor Wanyama, Son Heung-Min, Nabil Bentaleb, Harry Winks, Alex Pritchard, Nacer Chadli, Shayon Harrison and Victor Janssen. This morning Spurs released their new under armour kits for the coming 2016/17 season, via a live stream from Hotspur way. The selection of kits are certainly unique and fittingly so considering it’s our last season at White Hart Lane, I personally really like the new kits especially the third away kit, which I think has a somewhat retro feeling with the black stripes combined with the bright gold. The kits will be first worn by the players in Melbourne later this month, as we compete in the international champions cup. Spurs described each of the kits on their website: “This year’s home shirt is dominated by the traditional white and navy blue of Tottenham Hotspur. The navy blue contrast is complemented by the gold trim on the v-neck along with the navy blue and gold details on the sleeves.”
“The official away shirt comes in navy blue with gold trim on the crew neck in addition to a golden triple loop motif on the sleeves, while the unique gold third shirt is detailed with navy blue pin stripes and features navy blue trim on the sleeves and v-neck.” “The new goalkeeper home shirt sports a simple and stylish capri blue, while the away jersey is a vibrant burnt orange colour. Both strips include a crew neck design and feature a navy blue diagonal stripe on each sleeve.” Heres to hoping that these kits will be ones worn with glory and with silver wear being lifted by the players. Ben Davies: Ben Davies played the full 90 minutes on Saturday as he helped Wales to a historic victory over Northern Ireland in the last 16 of Euro 2016 as Davies’s Wales won 1-0. Davies played at centre back.

Hugo Lloris: Hugo Lloris captained Les Bleus for a record 55th time on Sunday as France defeated the Republic of Ireland 2-1 in the last 16 of the Euros.

Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele: Toby Alderweireld scored for Belgium on Sunday at the Euros as they defeated Hungary 4-0. Alderweireld’s headed goal was in fact the first time Belgium had scored from a set play at the Euros since 1984. Jan Vertonghen also had an excellent match as he completed the entirety of Sunday’s match at full back. Mousa Dembele was an unused substitute.

DeAndre Yedlin: DeAndre Yedlin played the entirety of the USA’s 1-0 defeat to Colombia in the third place play off on Sunday, Yedlin played at right back.

Erik Lamela Erik Lamela was an unused substitute as Argentina lost on penalties to Chile in the final of the Copa América on Monday.

Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Harry Kane, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose: Our three lions quintet were all involved in last nights last 16 defeat against Iceland in the Euros. Harry Kane, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker and Dele Alli all completed 90 minutes of yesterday’s match, whilst Eric Dier completed the first half.

Tottenham Hotspur sign Victor Wanyama:

It has just been announced by the club that we have signed Southampton’s 24 year old Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama on a contract until 2021. It had long been expected that we would sign Wanyama and last week reports began to circulate in many newspapers that Wanyama would be an imminent signing, I believe this a fantastic signing and I think Wanyama will become a key player in Pochettino’s side over the coming seasons. Wednesday’s international report:

Erik Lamela and DeAndre Yedlin: Erik Lamela came on as a 67th minute substitute as he helped Argentina beat the USA 4-0 in the Copa América semifinal yesterday. Lamela’s Argentina have been in excellent form throughout the tournament and will face Chile in the final of the tournament on Monday. Teammate and fellow Spurs man DeAndre Yedlin also played in the match, for the USA as he completed the entirety of the match at right back.

Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele: Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen completed the full 90 minutes of Belgium’s 1-0 win over Sweden yesterday. Meanwhile, Mousa Dembele was an unused substitute. As a result of their victory Belgium have qualified for the last 16 of the Euros, after finishing in second place in group E. Belgium will face Hungary on Sunday.

Kevin Wimmer: Kevin Wimmer was an unused substitute yesterday as Austria lost 2-1 to Iceland in Group F of Euro 2016, meaning that Wimmer’s Austria have been eliminated from the tournament after finishing in fourth place in their group after picking up just one point from three matches.

Sunday and Monday’s international report:

Erik Lamela: Erik Lamela netted his third goal for Argentina on Sunday as they defeated Venezuela 4-1 in the quarter final of the Cop América, you can view Lamela’s goal in the link provided below. Lamela completed the whole of the match for Argentina, up next for Lamela’s Argentina is a semifinal match against Spurs team mate DeAndre Yedlin’s USA on Wednesday at 2:00AM.

Hugo Lloris: Hugo Lloris equalled Didier Deschamps record of captaining France 55 times on Sunday as he helped les Bleus record a clean sheet in a stalemate against Switzerland. France finish the group in top place with 7 points from 3 matches.

Ben Davies: Ben Davies helped Wales top group B last night as helped the Dragons record a clean sheet in their 3-0 victory over Russia, Davies has been an imperative part of Chris Coleman’s side, putting in some excellent performances at centre back over the three group games. Davies completed the full match last night.

Eric Dier, Harry Kane and Dele Alli: Eric Dier put in another exceptional performance last night as he completed the full 90 minutes of England’s 0-0 draw against Slovakia. Eric Dier had a 100% tackles won success rate, 100% take ons, he completed 102 passes, created 2 chances and made 1 interception, Dier was truly exceptional for Roy Hodgon’s three lions last night. Dele Alli came on in the 61st minute for England whilst Harry Kane came on as a substitute in the 76th minute. Our full backs Danny Rose and Kyle Walker were rested for last nights match, England qualify in second place from group B.

Saturday’s international report:

Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Toby Alderweireld: Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Toby Alderweireld all played in today’s 3-0 victory for Belgium over the Republic of Ireland in group E of Euro 2016. Vertonghen had an excellent match at left back for the Red Devils as he completed the entirety of the match in Bordeaux, so to did Toby Alderweireld as he played very well in central defence as he helped Belgium record a clean sheet. Furthermore, Mousa Dembele completed 57 minutes of the match as he put in an impressive performance however, Dembele came off on 57 minutes after picking up an injury.

Kevin Wimmer: Kevin Wimmer came on in the 87th minute as Austria drew 0-0 against Portugal earlier this evening in group F of Euro 2016.

Thursday’s international report:

Six of our players were involved in yesterday’s Euro 2016 match between England and Wales, with the three lions winning 2-1. Ben Davies completed the whole match for Wales, playing at centre back. Meanwhile, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Eric Dier and Dele Alli completed the entirety of the match for England, whilst Harry Kane completed the first half for Roy Hodgson’s side. Kyle Walker had a fantastic match for England at right back and was by far one of the best players on the field, as Walker constantly provided fantastic surging runs down the right wing, putting in many a dangerous cross in the process, Walker was subsequently awarded the Carlsberg man of the match award for his superb display. Furthermore, Dele Alli assisted Daniel Sturridge for England’s winner. Meanwhile, tomorrow sees our Belgium trio of Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele face the Republic of Ireland at 2:00pm with the game being televised on ITV 1.
