England under 17’s drew 1-1 against Portugal under 17’s in the opening match of the Algarve tournament. Three of our under 18’s played in the match Japhet Tanganga and Jaden Brown started in defence whilst Samuel Shashoua also started, in an attacking midfield position. Shashoua was vital in England earning the draw as he netted the equaliser for the three lions in the 46th minute.
